Returning to Professional Practice

Returning to Professional Practice

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) maintains a register of allied health professionals who are interested in returning to professional practice in Tasmania and required to undertake a re-training program.  Through submission of an Expression of Interest Registration Form, the allied health professional will be entered into the DHHS data base. The DHHS will notify registrants of training opportunities that become available to support the return to practice.  A Registration Form is available  here.

Sponsorship and Scholarship

The Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing (DoHA) funds the Nursing and Allied Health Scholarship and Support Scheme: Continuing Professional Development (NAHSSS CPD). This scheme includes support to allied health professionals returning to practice. Details may be obtained from the Services for Australian Rural and Remote Allied Health (SARRAH) website or through the DoHA links.
