Carers Association of Tasmania
Carers Tasmania is a statewide information and support service for unpaid carers of people who provide support to children or adults who have a disability, mental illness, chronic condition or who are frail aged.
We provide carers with information and referrals about local health and community support services, and quarterly carers' newsletters.
Carers can join one of the 20 available carer support groups state wide, to carer support in their local community.
We also provide carers, emotional support and professional counselling services. To access face to face counselling, or telephone counselling contact free call 1800 242 636.
Carer Education and training is also available with information and education sessions on a variety of topics including, self care, carer’s health, identifying community services, relationship sessions, and other sessions for both carers and service providers.
