Important Note to Visitors

A COVID-19 Visitor Policy has been developed for Tasmania’s Public Hospitals and Clinics. The Policy places some restrictions on who can visit and when they can visit, as well as measures all visitors should apply to reduce the risk of COVID-19 being passed on to patients in hospital.

For specific information about public hospital patient visitation go to the Tasmanian Government coronavirus website at https://www.coronavirus.tas.gov.au/families-community/public-hospital-patient-visitation

The King Island Multi-Purpose Centre operates as a multipurpose centre with six acute care beds, eight high care and six low care residential aged care beds.

The centre also coordinates the delivery of a broad range of community services, visiting service and support groups such as community nursing, child health, dental services, ante-natal clinics and alcohol and drug services.
