Health Workforce 2040
Health Workforce 2040 is a 20-year health workforce strategy for Tasmania; it includes allied health, medical and nursing and midwifery professions. The purpose of Health Workforce 2040 is to:
- shape a health workforce that meets the needs of Tasmanians now and into the future
- look after those that spend their careers looking after others
- provide opportunity to support our health professionals to follow their career ambitions.
Both the public sector and the private sector workforces are included. The draft documents are divided up into four volumes:
- Health Workforce 2040: Strategy (draft)
- Health Workforce 2040: Allied health (draft)
- Health Workforce 2040: Medicine (draft)
- Health Workforce 2040: Nursing and midwifery (draft)

Your feedback is welcome on all volumes or perhaps only in your area of expertise or experience.
