Updated operating hours in Tasmanian Medicare Urgent Care Clinics from Monday

New operating hours will come into effect in three of Tasmania’s four Medicare Urgent Care Clinics (UCC) from Monday 5 August.

As of next week, Ochre Health Medicare UCC and Your Hobart Doctor Medicare UCC in Hobart, and Devonport Medicare UCC will move to new opening hours. Launceston Medicare UCC will continue with its current operating model. 

From Monday:

•             Ochre Health Medicare Urgent Care Clinic on Liverpool Street will open 8am – 5pm seven days a week

•             Your Hobart Doctor Medicare Urgent Care Clinic on Bathurst Street will open 2pm – 10pm seven days a week 

•             Devonport Medicare Urgent Care Clinic will operate 2pm – 9pm on weekdays and 1pm – 9pm on weekends

•             Launceston Medicare Urgent Care Clinic will continue with its current operating model of 2pm – 8pm seven days a week.

Urgent Care Clinics are an important care option for Tasmanians who do not require a visit to the Emergency Department but can’t wait for an appointment with their regular GP.

The Tasmanian Government and Australian Government continue to work closely to review Medicare Urgent Care Clinic operating models and ensure clinics are meeting the needs of the community and supporting patient demand.
