Applications Now Open
Grants Round 3 of the Primary Care Support Initiative has been extended. Grants of up to $250,000 per year for up to three years, for primary health care providers to expand and improve services to vulnerable cohorts and communities during current operating hours as well as after hours.
Applications now close Wednesday 28 September 2022.
This objective will be achieved through the provision of funding to:
- expand after-hours primary health care services for general practices and pharmacies which includes sociable hours (6 pm – 11 pm weeknights and 8 am – 12 noon Saturdays) and unsociable hours (11 pm – 8 am weekdays, hours outside of 8 am and 12 noon Saturdays, all day Sundays and public holidays)
- develop and implement innovative, sustainable models of primary health care services that treat vulnerable cohorts and communities during standard operating hours and/or after hours.
Vulnerable groups include but are not limited to:
- regional, rural and remote communities (Modified Monash Model classification 4 – 7)
- Priority population groups (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, LGBTQI+, culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD), people experiencing homelessness, or people living with a disability.

Applications open 19 August 2022 and will close 5 pm on 28 September 2022.
