The construction of the new $12.4 million Burnie Ambulance Super Station has been completed, with the station to welcome paramedics later this month.
The new Burnie Ambulance Super Station is designed to meet the future needs of Tasmanians in the North West, by catering for our increasing paramedic workforce and allowing for up to 20 vehicles on site by 2035.
The Burnie Ambulance Super Station features a larger garage, dedicated staff training areas to support continued professional development, staff meeting rooms, and improved secure access for staff and visitors.
This is one of two new ambulance Super Stations being constructed, with work at the new Glenorchy station almost complete and expected to be operational early next year.
The new station on Brickport Road in Cooee is expected to be operational and serving the community later this month.
