The Tasmanian Health Service is offering a range of midwifery opportunities across the state, and we’re looking for compassionate, dedicated professionals to join us. Our midwives provide exceptional care, helping families during one of the most meaningful experiences of their lives.
Sharni Siely, a midwife and manager of our nursing and midwifery staff in the North West, shares her passion for the profession:
“Midwifery is a celebration of women. To be a midwife means being with women at the most vulnerable times in their lives, and to actually be there and support them. It’s such a big thing for me.
“There’s a real sense of family here in Tasmania. The other midwives I work with are just an amazing, supportive, really beautiful bunch of women. We care about what happens to each other, both at work and outside of work. That kind of collegiality is really important to us."
With a small, tight-knit team and a supportive environment, Tasmania offers midwives a unique opportunity to build lasting relationships, both professionally and personally. Strong community spirit and work-life balance make Tasmania an incredible place to live and work.
If you’re ready to make a real difference in the lives of women and their families, we invite you to explore the exciting midwifery positions available across Tasmania.
