The Department of Health is inviting people to share their experiences with cancer services to shape the development of a new Tasmanian Cancer Plan.
The plan will establish the Department’s vision and priorities for cancer care over the next five years across the health system, including prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, end of life and palliative care, cancer research, and clinical trials.
We want to hear from anyone who is involved in cancer care, including key organisations representing specific cancer types, clinicians, researchers, people that have or had cancer, and their friends and family.
Importantly, the Tasmanian Cancer Plan will align and respond to the Australian Cancer Plan, which has been developed by Cancer Australia as a 10-year plan with a future focus of providing the right care in the right place at the right time for cancer patients.
The development of the Tasmanian Cancer Plan is being supported by the Tasmanian Cancer Network, which brings together key clinical and health representatives from the public, private and community sectors.
To provide feedback, please complete the survey on the Department of Health website. We will use information we learn from the survey to understand what is currently happening in cancer prevention and care in Tasmania, and to help shape future plans.
