“Hello, I’m Mei. I have been living by myself since losing my dear husband five years ago. I recently stopped driving. The arthritis in my hands made it really difficult to hold the steering wheel and I felt unsafe on the road. The arthritis also makes it really difficult for me to chop vegetables and carry saucepans.

Apart from my arthritis, I’m happy and healthy! I love social outings. I catch the bus to my social club three days a week. I enjoy the meals there, it’s great trying new foods. They serve very large meals so I normally just have a piece of fruit in the evening on those days.”
