Child Safety and Wellbeing Service
The Child Safety and Wellbeing Service was established in late 2022 to lead the Department’s implementation of the Child Safety and Wellbeing Framework
Through implementing the Framework, the CSW Service will support the Department’s efforts to create a child safe and trauma-informed culture; implement strategies and take action to promote child safety and wellbeing; and work to ensure that the Department is child-centred, engages with children and young people, and develops systems to ensure children are safe and supported.
Key functions of the service include:
- ensuring an effective response and monitoring system
- supporting child safety and wellbeing management and culture
- developing child safety and wellbeing policies.
