Child Safety and Wellbeing Framework
A Child Safety and Wellbeing Framework is now in place across the Department of Health, safeguarding children and young people accessing our services and facilities. The Secretary, Department of Health as well as the Health Executive have signed the Framework and Statement of Commitment demonstrating our commitment to ensuring vulnerable people, in particular children and young people, feel safe, supported and listened to. The Framework outlines how the Department of Health is implementing the ten National Principles for Child Safe Organisations established by the Australian Human Rights Commission. Resources which support the Framework are available for staff and volunteers to help understand and implement National Principles.
