Community consultation: Tasmanian Drug Strategy 2023-2028
The Department of Health, on behalf of the Tasmanian Government, is developing the new Tasmanian Drug Strategy 2023-2028.
Final consultation is taking place through:
- an online community survey (open from 21 June 2023 until 4 August 2023), and
- statewide face-to-face consultation sessions (running from 31 July 2023 until 7 August 2023).
Following this final consultation period, the Strategy will be re-drafted for planned release in late 2023.

Consultation Paper
The Tasmanian Drug Strategy (TDS) Consultation Paper has been developed to help you complete this survey. This paper provides background to development of the TDS, as well as current national and Tasmanian alcohol, tobacco and other drugs policy.

Statewide Community Consultation Sessions
The Department of Health is holding face-to-face consultation sessions across Tasmania from 31 July to 7 August 2023.
The consultation sessions present an opportunity for Tasmanians to ensure the final draft TDS reflects what is important to them and the people they know when it concerns alcohol, tobacco and other drugs in Tasmania.
