Elder Abuse Prevention Strategy 2019-22

In response to the issue of elder abuse, in 2011, the Tasmanian Government began implementing the Protecting Older Tasmanians from Abuse: Tasmania’s Elder Abuse Strategy. Building on this work, the Protect and Respect Older Tasmanians: Tasmania’s Elder Abuse Prevention Strategy 2019 – 2022 supports:

• new and contemporary ways to inform and educate and provide services responsive to elder abuse
• the Tasmanian community’s understanding and recognition of elder abuse
• the community’s commitment to responding to and preventing the abuse of older Tasmanians.
