Building Timelines

Stage 1 (Completed 4 July 2011)

  • January 2009 – July 2009 – Schematic design
  • February 2009 – Forward Brianese Architects engaged.
  • October 2009 – Design development completed.
  • 5 October 2009 – Parliamentary Standing Committee for public works approval.
  • November 2009 – January 2010 – Early works tender period.
  • January 2010 – Early building works tender approved and contractor (Hazell Bros) selected.
  • 10 February 2010 – Early building works commenced.
  • 3 March 2010 – Main building works tender closed.
  • Mid March 2010 – Early building works completed.
  • May 2010 – Main builder appointed (VOS Construction)
  • June 2010 – Main building works commenced
  • June 2010 – 4 July 2011 - Stage 1 construction period

Stage 2 (Completed 13 July 2012) 

  • 4 July 2011 – 13 July 2012 - Stage 2 construction

Architects and the Project User Group

Architects - Forward Brianese (now Liminal Architecture) won the contract to design the Clarence Integrated Care Centre and GP Super Clinic.

A Project User Group (PUG) was established to assist Forward Brianese (now Liminal Architecture) with the design of the centre to ensure that the specific needs and requirements of each service area within the centre were met.

 Turning of SOD

Hazell Bros began the early building works on the car park at the Clarence Community Health Centre on 10 February 2010. The start of the building works was officially marked on the 16th February 2010.

Clarence ICC Operations Group

The Clarence Integrated Care Centre Operations Group was established to oversee the implementation of the new service model for the ICC. In addition, this group was responsible for managing the people side of the change. A series of change management sessions were developed for frontline managers to support them in leading staff through the change process.
