Healthy Tasmania Fund Grants

Grants announced

Congratulations to the organisations who have been awarded Healthy Tasmania Fund grants in 2019!

The Tasmanian Government will provide nearly $2.2 million in new grant funding for community and not-for-profit organisations to invest in the health and wellbeing of their communities.

Twenty-six organisations across Tasmania have been successful in securing Healthy Tasmania Fund grants of up to $200 000.

The grants are aimed at reducing smoking, improving healthy eating and physical activity, and reducing the rates of overweight and obesity in Tasmania.

The successful projects demonstrate a strong evidence base, wide reach in their community or high needs groups, strong community partnerships, value for money and sustainability beyond the grant funding.

Due to the large number of high quality applications, the Tasmanian Government has provided an additional $770 000 to its initial $1.4 million funding for this round of Healthy Tasmania Fund grants.

Next year the Government will announce a new round of Healthy Tasmania Fund grants for 2020-21.

These grants are part of the Government’s Healthy Tasmania Five Year Strategic Plan, which aims to make Tasmania the healthiest population by 2025.
